When we say crafted by hand, we mean it.
Beautiful products for beautiful people
We take pride in crafting beautiful products that serve our customers long enough and don't harm the environment afterwards. All made by hand. Right here in the community!

We're building something different here
Every product replaces plastic. Every product supports a young person building a future they can actually count on. The packaging we create isn’t just about holding things. It’s about holding space. For possibility, for income, for dignity. We’re proving that sustainable can be affordable and local doesn’t have to mean second-rate.

The people behind the products...
We’re young people from refugee and host communities in Turkana County. We’re the ones who were told opportunities don’t exist here. We’re proving that wrong every single day. Some of us are in our twenties. Some younger, some older. We come from different backgrounds, different countries, different experiences. But we’re united by what we’re building together.
Our legacy
Kakuma Eco-Bag was built on the belief that local challenges deserve local solutions. By turning waste into opportunity, we have created jobs, reduced plastic use, and strengthened community-owned production in Turkana. Our legacy is one of youth empowerment, environmental responsibility, and lasting local impact that continues to grow with every product we make.
